Choosing A Wrinkle Cream Based On The Experience Of Others
Nov 7th, 2008 by beauty tips
What you choose to put on your skin or in your body is important to your overall health, so it’s not a decision to be taken lightly. However, I ran across a post the other day asking ‘ has anyone tried LifeCell cream’ - a particular brand of anti aging cream.
While it’s not uncommon to ask others what they use or think about a particular product, I believe it’s irrelevent for the most part. Let me tell you why… personal products such as those related to beauty and skin care work differently for everyone.
Take skin care for instance, the common skin types are dry, oily, normal and combination. There are a few others as well. Why would people with different needs rely on someone else (who may have a completely different issue) give them advice on their own skin?
For most of my life I’ve had oily/combination skin. It would make no sense at all for me to ask someone with dry skin for their opinion. In fact, I made that mistake once and ended up with horrible breakouts on my face.
Back to this particular example… the post went on to say that while LifeCell testimonials posted on the product website or other review sites could be helpful, a community of actual users would be helpful. OK, you already know my opinion on that… But, here’s what could work well:
Have comments and feedback from others related to the customer service they received from these companies. You have to try any given product to see if it will work for you. But you need to know how any potential problems will be handled should they occur. That’s the realy test of whether a product should be purchased - and if it works, great. If it doesn’t, try something else. The bottom line is, it takes more than a product that “works” to make it a good buying experience.
