If you’d like to know how to stop sweaty feet, then this is your stop. In this article we will discuss how you can stop sweaty hands and feet using a number of different methods. Have you heard of black tea? I’m not talking about drinking this delicious drink, I mean submerging your hands or feet in it. People claim that it works. The tannic acid inside of tea is known to block certain sweat glands. The tannic acid solution in tea worked a little bit for me as well. Heat up a large enough amount (usually 1 pint) of water and drop 2-3 tea bags in it. Hold your horses until the water gets to a bearable temperature (mix it with cool water or tea to speed up the process). You’re set to go, dive in with your hands or feet and keep them there for 30 min. Afterwards drink the tea. Just kidding you can donate it to the sewers. During the first week you should do the soaking on a daily basis, afterward twice a week is fine. Wash your feet with antibacterial soap in warm water, it will remove the black tea stains. Rub your feet with pumice stone to diminish the number of calluses (which often retain the stains). Soap washing is more important for people that suffer from excessive sweaty feet.
It is the bacteria on the soles of your feet that cause the bad odor. A strong bacteria killing soap is needed to help you fight the smell. Your feet is like the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Bacteria start multiplying in large number when it’s dark and wet. That’s why it’s a bad idea to wear polymer and synthetic socks. Synthetic clothing tends to retain the moisture. Throw them out if you have any and switch to 100% cotton. You will see the difference almost immediately, they move moisture away from the body. Some people become so desperate with the sweating feet and the smell that they have them surgically removed.
You can do a number of things on those pesky glands. You can cut, clamp or even burn them away, but there are certain risks involved with this procedure and is only recommended for people that are desperately looking for an answer on How to stop feet sweating. You risk compensation sweat. Which means that if you remove glands in one place, your body will produce more in another. It is only recommended for people who are seriously handicapped by the excessive sweating (sweating feet). Talk to your doctor about it.
Another drastic approach is to use electricity to treat sweat. Sounds like something out of a Sci-Fi movie, right? Ever heard of Drionic? This is a machine which blocks your sweat glands for a certain period of time. This method is pretty controversial and doesn’t always work. I’m sure you can find something less painful and just as effective. To conclude, let’s name the 3 solutions that were mentioned in this article which were: black tea, surgery and Drionic, thank you for reading and have a pleasant day.
