Who’s In Control
Mar 23rd, 2010 by beauty writer
As a youngster, our parents would decide how our days were to be spent. We are told when to get up from bed. A child’s job is their education. Our meals are fixed for us every day. Once we are grown up and on our own we have the ability to make the choices for ourselves. But we still have people who control some aspects of our lives.
One thing that does not have to be controlled by others is the shape of our body. Our diet is something that is our decision once we grow up. We can decide if we want to spend some of our evening doing sets of six pack ab exercises, or if we rather stuff our face with popcorn as we watch some movies on the big screen television in our living room. Another thing that we control is whether or not we want to lose the extra weight we are carrying. We can tell when we are out of shape by just looking in the mirror. It is not so easy to change it. We are taught from a young age that the things that we want the most are often the hardest to attain. If you want to get fit and healthy, it is necessary to work hard at it.
There are many good reasons to make the decision to get fit and healthy. Being overweight puts a person at risk for many diseases. Many of these health risks can be eliminated by losing the excess weight that a person is carrying. It is not necessary to learn how to lose weight fast, rather it is just necessary to lose the weight and to gain control of how your body feels on a daily basis. Many of us don’t understand what we did wrong to gain the weight that we did. The best way to understand how the weight was gained is just to write down what we eat on a daily basis and how much exercise that we get. Most people who are fat have are that way because of what they eat, but there are a few who are that way because of things that they can’t control. They also ate food that was high in fat and calories. Another factor that we control is whether we take the time to work out regularly.
All of those things are within a person’s ability too control. If you go to chat rooms on the internet like the biggest loser forum, you will find people who are trying to lose weight that all share similar stories of excess eating and weight gain and the struggle to get it under control. Many of those on the internet share the fact that they want to change it. But other people can not make the choices for us no matter how much we want them to. This is another thing that we control. The person who decides what we put into our body is the person we look at in the mirror every day. It is up to the individual who wants to lose the weight to make sure that they follow the plan every day.
We are tempted by many things every day. Everyone wants our business and make us offers that are hard to refuse. These are the things we must avoid at first until we have the weight problem under control. For those people who are fit and healthy, even those special treats should only be enjoyed occasionally. All of the effort that was put in to get fit and healthy will be thrown away quickly if a person does not watch what they eat. The way that we eat and exercise on a daily basis is what will go a long way in determining the shape of our body. It is up to the individual to make those changes and to stick with them. As adults we are the one’s who control how we live, and that control just like our bodies must be exercised. If we do not make the right choices it is strictly our fault.
